Review: Mosaic Holy Bible New Living Translation by Tyndale House Publishers

It's hard to put on a 'read' shelf when it's in constant use!
But for the sake of the review, I am posting whilst reading.

What a fantastic Bible. I have come to love this Mosaic NLT Holy Bible's life contribution to my journey with God. Totally attractive artistic mosaic covers; the Cross fronting, the Creed backing; ideally placed for reminders and use in the daily office.

The first 1/3 of the Mosaic Bible provides extensive weekly readings directing the reader's attention toward God. These readings follow the beauty and consistency of the Church year. Comprised in liturgical order beginning with Advent, moving through Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and Pentecost. Weekly meditations include the Psalm, OT, Gospel and NT; the focus is scripture complemented by writings drawn from the collective wisdom of the Church throughout 2000 years of history. Examples include Bonhoeffer, Andrew Murray, CS Lewis, Wesley, Cyprian, Fenelon, and so many many more. Quotes included challenge and inspire the life of faith and trust.

Lined reflection space is available plus whitespace for creative responses. Online interaction is provided atwww.HolyBibleMosaic.com where the reader can determine the current week's reading location, more info on both the Church year and the Mosaic Bible itself.

An indispensible gift to worshipful living, I am blessed to have received my own copy of this Mosaic Holy Bible. It is a book that opens the heart to God, the variety of contributions that have formed our faith throughout the ages, and the ease of understanding that flows through the New Living Translation.

The final 2/3 of the Mosaic Holy Bible is the Word itself. Double columned pages separated by a well researched reference column makes for uninterrupted reading of the scripture. Following the scripture is a Word Study System outlined with Hebrew/Greek dictionary and index. A convenient and helpful NLT concordance plus coloured maps, including Jesus ministry, are presented as the final addition.

I am impressed both with content and creativity of the Mosaic Holy Bible. I would highly recommend it for any Christ follower that knows or desires, the benefits of following the encompassing Liturgical Scriptural format. But especially for those who would like to learn...

Thank you, once again, Tyndale House and Credo Communications, for innovating and providing readers with a unique and artistic resource that promotes the growth of our life of trust in Christ.
